Lodging plans at the NSW LRS Lodgment Office
In August 2022, the NSW Government announced a move to 100% electronic plan lodgment within a new digital system. Once the mandate comes into effect, all plans are required to be digitally prepared and lodged through NSW LRS Connect. A Registered Surveyor will be required to create a plan workspace within NSW LRS Connect so they or another linked Plan Workspace Contributor can complete the lodgment online.
This mandate will come into effect after a transition period. At the end of the transition period, from 2024, this mandate will be fully enforced, and no paper plans will be accepted at the NSW LRS Lodgment Office.
NSW LRS Connect is the infrastructure to support this pivotal stage of the Digital Plans reform for industry. More information on the transition period is available here.
Where can I get more information?
The Office of the Registrar General have information sheets which summarise the transition to digital survey plans for Registered Surveyors and Plan Workspace Contributors (such as reviewers, legal practitioners, valuers, and alternate lodging parties).
