NSW Land Registry Services and the NSW Government have been working together to digitise important state records so that they are easily accessible to the people of NSW.
We are pleased to announce that records which were not previously available online can now be accessed for free using our Historical Lands Records Viewer (HLRV) at http://hlrv.nswlrs.com.au
These new records include:
-
Change of name indexes from 1875 to 1967
-
Conditional purchase indexes from 1896 to 1969
-
Deposited deed indexes from 1858 to 1992
-
Deposited deed receipt books (numbers 1 to 51,900)
-
Detail survey sheet indexes based on town names
-
Primary application search books (numbers 1- 83405)
-
Primary application search sketches (numbers 1 to 62,060)
-
Primary application miscellaneous search book (numbers 1 to 47442)
-
Additional Old System Deeds (Books 1-3887)
These records represent some of the historical fabric of the founding days of the State of NSW. We are hopeful that they will assist in bringing to life early Australian history and also help families connect with their past.
In 2019 we are committed to continuing our innovations in connection with the HLRV to ensure that our history is preserved and accessible to future generations of NSW residents.
