Customers can find historical plan reference numbers online for the first time with the publication of a new searchable version of the Plan Cross-Reference Index online by NSW Land Registry Services (NSW LRS).
The digital Plan Cross-Reference Index provides customers and lodging parties with an easy-to-search list of more than 541,000 historical plan index reference numbers and their current Deposited Plan (DP) number in spreadsheet format.
The Plan Cross-Reference Index captures the former naming conventions of historical plan index documents and provides their current Deposited Plan number. This information has previously been held only in a series of bound, hard-copy volumes known as the “Blue Books” due to their blue binding.
Customers can access this new Plan Cross Reference Index on the NSW LRS website: www.nswlrs.com.au/Historical-Records-Online
The digital Plan Cross-Reference Index was developed by NSW LRS after consulting with customers, professional bodies and industry associations, cross-industry working groups, and the Office of the Registrar General.
Making it easier to prepare and lodge plans
The introduction of the Plan Cross-Reference Index follows a range of digital initiatives designed to make it easier for customers and lodging parties working with Deposited, Community and Strata Plans to do business with NSW LRS. This includes the launch of digital plan Administration Sheets and a digital Section 88B Instrument, as well reference and preparation guides to assist lodging parties in reducing the likelihood of submitting incomplete or incorrect documentation to NSW LRS.
