eConveyancing Update - PEXA Release 8.0

The transition to completely digital or electronic conveyancing (eConveyancing) has been mandated by the NSW Government. We encourage you to get started with eConveyancing if you’re not already using it.

You will need to register for eConveyancing with an Electronic Lodgment Network Operator (ELNO), or you will need to speak to someone who is registered.

Currently the only ELNO is Property Exchange Australia (PEXA). PEXA regularly updates the eConveyancing platform; new features and updates are being added which improve and expedite property transactions online. To register, visit the PEXA website

PEXA Release 8.0 - 21 May 2018

As well as general national updates including Settlement Notifications, the NSW Specific changes incorporated in this release are:

  • Part Tenancy Transfer (Unrepresented Party)  -  Processing a Part Tenancy Transfer where only the transacting Proprietor and the Incoming Proprietor participate in the transaction.
  • Justify the Mortgagor's name using the National Mortgage   -  In mortgages where the Mortgagor's name differs from the name recorded on Title, you can now use a National Mortgage to justify the discrepancy (NSW)
  • Ability to deal with manual or complex RO assessments - The NSW Office of State Revenue have enhanced their system to allow complex duty assessments to be transacted in PEXA.
