Further details
NSW LRS occupies its current premises (1 Prince Albert Road, Queens Square) under a lease from Property NSW, pursuant to the concession arrangements negotiated with the State Government. This lease expires 30 June 2019. NSW LRS therefore plans to relocate its operations ahead of the lease expiry. NSW LRS anticipates a relocation window of 1 April 2019 to 30 June 2019. The new head office location will be 175 Liverpool Street, Sydney 2000.
NSW LRS is working with Property NSW to extend the current Queens Square lease for the area that encompasses the customer retail space it occupies on the Ground Floor as well as the Basement Document Collection Box area. As a result, NSW LRS anticipates that the primary customer retail presence will remain at 1 Prince Albert Road, Queens Square during 2019 and will remain the sole retail space until further notice.
NSW LRS is undertaking the Queens Square extension at its own cost to ensure an uninterrupted customer experience during the transition to the e-conveyancing mandate which is expected to commence on 1 July 2019.
This will be the first move of the underlying operations since the former Land Titles Office took occupancy of the newly constructed Queens Square building in circa 1914. As such, NSW LRS recognises the significance of the relocation and anticipates there are a number of stakeholders with interest in this move. NSW LRS commits to provide 6 months’ notice prior to permanently closing its Queen Square customer retail location.
