About Us

NSW Land Registry Services operates the NSW land titles registry for the State Government and the people of New South Wales. The land titles registry underpins the state’s secure, efficient and guaranteed system of land ownership.

We create and maintain land titles information and sell land information products and services.

The community, business and government rely on this information for a variety of purposes including land management, conveyancing, property development, investment, local planning, state economic and social development and historical research.

Who We Are

NSW Land Registry Services is a private company that operates the land titles registry on behalf of the NSW Government under a 35-year concession that took effect on 1 July 2017.

We operate under the business name NSW Land Registry Services.

Since the concession took effect, NSW Land Registry Services has improved service outcomes for customers, invested to enhance the security of the register and enabled digital innovation in the conveyancing and surveying sectors.  

NSW Land Registry Services acknowledges the Gadigal of the Eora Nation as the traditional custodians of the land where we work in Sydney.

Our Commitments

We are committed to maintaining the security, integrity, performance and availability of the land titling system in NSW. We show this commitment by encouraging improvements and innovation, and investing in technology to increase our efficiency and deliver reliable service to our customers.
 

Customer commitments

Annual service level reporting

Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitments

Our ESG program aims to enable NSW LRS to operate sustainably and responsibly with regard to our customers, key stakeholders, employees, investors, the environment and the community.

The principles that guide the program are our commitment to:

  1. Sustainability practices that minimise negative impacts on the environment;

  2. Engaging with partners and suppliers that share sustainable objectives and act responsibly with regard to their employees, the environment and their communities;

  3. Developing a culture where sustainability is a part of what we do;

  4. Governance that ensures we meet our obligations and continue to provide the service to the citizens of NSW consistent with our heritage and future direction;

  5. Enhancing the wellbeing of employees and customers; and

  6. Fully engaging all employees in the efforts.


GRESB

As part of our ESG commitments, NSW LRS participates in GRESB to benchmark our performance and progress against other organisations. We achieved a GRESB 5 Star Rating in the 2020 GRESB Infrastructure Assessment. This is the highest GRESB Rating and recognition for being an industry leader in ESG.

NSW Land Registry Services has clear and comprehensive governance systems in place to ensure we comply with our obligations to the people of NSW and the State Government under the concession, and as an Australian corporation.

Management Team

Adam Bennett

Chief Executive Officer

BBus, AMP
Adam was appointed the CEO of NSW Land Registry Services in March 2018. Prior to this Adam spent 13 years working at the National Australia Bank holding several positions including Chief Information Officer, Executive General Manager for Digital and Direct Banking and Executive General Manager for Strategy Execution. Before NAB, Adam spent over twelve years as a management consultant for PwC and IBM in the corporate and operations strategy practice. 


James Dolton

Chief Financial Officer

BA, BCom, MBA (Hons), CA
James leads our Enterprise Services team.  He qualified as a Chartered Accountant at PwC and worked at ASX prior to moving to the US where he completed an MBA at Wharton and began a career in investment banking at Bear Stearns.  Returning to Australia he worked at Deutsche Bank and NSW Treasury prior to NSW Land Registry Services. 


Nicole Graham

Company Secretary, General Counsel and Head of Corporate Affairs

BCom LLB (Hons I), EMBA, AGIA, ACIS
Nicole oversees our legal, governance and corporate affairs teams.  She has more than 15 years’ corporate law experience gained at a top tier firm and client secondments in Australia and the USA. Nicole has also completed the Sydney University Global Executive MBA studying throughout the world at IIMB Bangalore, Cambridge, Tel Aviv University, UCLA and Stanford.
 

Brad Griffiths

Chief People Officer

BSc (Psych) (Hons)
Brad oversees the performance and development of our people and culture. He has more than 20 years’ experience across a number of industries including insurance, infrastructure, engineering and health, with a focus on bringing the best out in people.


Eamon Mooney
General Manager Operations

M.Econ, BBA LLB
Eamon has extensive experience in land registry services having joined our organisation in 2004. He leads our dealings and plans teams to deliver efficient, reliable land registry services for the people of NSW. 


Stuart Strathdee
Chief Information Officer

Stuart leads our Information Technology team and oversees NSW LRS’ digital transformation and modernisation. A cyber-security and IT Operations expert with more than 20 years’ experience, he has worked on Australian mega-projects such as NBN and spent much of his career with IT vendors such as Lotus/IBM, Microsoft and Splunk.
 

Shareholders / Investors

 

Australian Registry Investments is a consortium of leading institutional investors and superannuation funds: Aware Super, The Infrastructure Fund, NatWest Group Pension Fund and UTA Registry Investments Trust. All consortium members are represented on our Board of Directors.   

 

Regulation – the Office of the Registrar General

The Office of the Registrar General manages the concession to ensure integrity, security, performance and availability of the NSW land titles system through a range of oversights, rules and directions, quality assurance and strong engagement with stakeholders.
