NSW Land Registry Services (NSW LRS) has achieved a GRESB 5 Star Rating in the 2019 GRESB Infrastructure Assessment. This is the highest GRESB Rating and recognition for being an industry leader.
NSW LRS Chief Executive Officer, Adam Bennett, said: “NSW LRS is proud to have been awarded a GRESB 5 Star Rating, which recognises the actions we have undertaken to address our environmental, social and governance impact over the past 12 months. This strong rating reflects the efforts of our people across the organisation to improve processes and practices to deliver sustainable outcomes.”
Each year GRESB assesses and benchmarks the environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance of real assets worldwide and monitors the sector’s progress towards global sustainability goals. GRESB Assessments are guided by what investors and the industry consider to be material issues in the sustainability performance of real asset investments and are aligned with international reporting frameworks such as GRI and PRI.
The NSW LRS ESG program guides the organisation to operate sustainably and responsibly with regard to customers, key stakeholders, employees, investors, the environment and the community.
Guided by six principles, the NSW LRS ESG program has delivered a substantial improvement on NSW LRS’s 2 Star Rating in 2018, the first year the organisation participated in the GRESB assessment.
